Ride consists of 5 covered bridges, one working mill, a Llama farm and a working dairy. All roads are paved but the surface on some is not the best. Most of these roads are narrow and if riding in a group, you should be in single file formation. There are also a lot of curves. Ride slow and enjoy.
These directions start from Buckminn's old location. Set your odometer to zero in the parking lot in front of the mural.
0.3 Right turn out of Buckminn's parking lot on to 2nd Street. Left on Columbus St (2nd stop sign). Becomes 42 at the light. Follow Rt42N to Stevenson Rd.
2.1 Left on Stevenson Rd. Cross Bridge#1 Built in 1877
4.4 Right immediately after bridge to Jones Rd.
5.6 Left on Wilberforce Clifton Rd
5.8 Right on Charleton Mill Rd. Cross Bridge #2 Built in 1833. Continue to stop sign at Rt 42.
7.2 Straight across Rt 42 to Nash Rd
8.1 Watch for Llama farm on right. (This is a PRIVATE farm)
9.1 Left on Old Rt 35 Dangerous 3 way intersection. Old Rt 35 is 2nd left at intersection (Do not turn on Federal Rd)
11.4 Right on N Ballard Rd. Cross Bridge #3 Built in 1883. Turn around in cul-de-sac and return to Old Rt 35
12.5 Turn left on Old US 35
13.2 Right on Straley Rd
13.6 Left on Hopping Rd
14.8 Right on Federal Rd
14.9 Left on Wilmington Rd
16.4 Left on Murdock Rd
18.7 Right on US 42
19.5 Left on Tarbox Cemetery Rd Restrooms in park on the right
21.5 Right on Wilberforce Clifton Rd Thru stop sign into Clifton
24.9 In Village of Clifton, turn right on Water St. Park bike at Clifton Mill on right. Walk behind Mill for Bridge #4. Built from barn siding and for foot traffic only. Also scenic view of Clifton Gorge.
25.1 Left on Main St (US 72)
25.2 Left on Rt 343
27.6 Left on Rt 370 Caution: Stay to the right, past park entrance, road becomes narrow, a steep downgrade and curvy.
29.5 Right on Grinell Rd
29.6 On left side of road, hidden behind trees, Bridge #5 Built in 1886. No safe parking in the area. Observe only!
30.3 Right on Corry St
31.2 Right on US 68
33.0 Right into Youngs Dairy. Some of the best Ice Cream in southwest Ohio
OPTIONS FOR RETURN:
Turn RIGHT out of Youngs Dairy and follow US 68 to I70
I70 east to Mid Ohio HD
I70 west and return to Expo Center
Turn LEFT out of Youngs Diary and follow US 68 to Xenia
