The annual Blessing of the Bikes normally held in a parking lot at Wright State Univeristy has been changed to UD Arena this year. The tremendous growth of this event has caused the change of location.
The event planners are expecting nearly 5000 motorcycles to come rolling in to kick off what is to many riders, the beginning of the riding season. Riders come for many reasons, to check out the cool bikes, to see that many bikes all at once, to just hang out with a bunch of bikers at the same time but for most, it is to have their motorcycles blessed with holy water for a safe riding season.
Always held on the first Sunday in May, this years blessing is on May 4, 2008, from 10am till 4pm.
