Location Change For Blessing Of The Bikes

Father Blesses MotorcyclesThe annual Blessing of the Bikes normally held in a parking lot at Wright State Univeristy has been changed to UD Arena this year.  The tremendous growth of this event has caused the change of location. Ride to Mt Rushmore with the Sturgis Mayor

The City of Sturgis invites you to the 5th Annual Mayor’s Ride.  We are still accepting registrations for participation in the 5th Annual Sturgis Mayor’s Ride.  The ride will be Monday, August 6, 2007.  The cost is $160.50 per rider includes tax with proceeds to benefit the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department.  The ride will depart from Sturgis and travel to Mt Rushmore Memorial for photo opportunities.  We will conclude the ride with a BBQ style lunch at the State Game Lodge in Custer State Park. What A Blessed Day!

Wow, what a day it has been!  After a long cold winter, there is nothing better to rejuvenate a biker than a nice brisk ride in the morning to a gathering of 5 or 6 thousand other bikers (give or take a thousand!).  The 7th Annual Blessing of the Bikes, presented by the Dayton 73 Mooseriders,  was once again a tremendous success. Local Exhibit of Custom Motorcycles

The motorcycles were as diverse as the visitors during the opening ceremony September 9, 2006, at Miami University Art Museum's new exhibit, Chopped! Art of The Custom Motorcycle.
